Zero
Review: Rhadoo has long been in a class of his own when it comes to crafting intricately detailed minimal. Despite doing so for decades, he still finds freshness in his particular milieu, as he does again here on Secret Society, teaming up with multi-discipliniary artist and sound wizard Traian Chereches under the RH.CHER moniker. The cerebral 'Gwen' beings with liquid synths and gloopy sounds, dry hits and kicks and vocal swirls that infuse the whole thing with eerie soul. Giegling main man Edward brings a little more low-end heft to his remix, then 'Zero' gets more wobbly and busy with hiccuping sounds, swaggering drum rhythms and icy hi-hats all sure to sound huge at DC10 this summer. Cabanne remixes with a deft touch that keeps the silky minimal flowing going but with more edge.

Fletcher - "This Day Has Been Too"
Review: Fletcher heads up the Social Currency label but you may also know him from his superb work with Mosaic boss Steve O'Sullivan. It's no wonder then that he calls up his dub techno buddy for the second outing here. They kick off with 'Flutter' which is a minimal dub masterpiece with light and airy synths, yep, fluttering up top above rooted, rolling drums. Fletcher then goes it alone for 'From A Different Place' which is a little more anxious in its loops but still has gorgeous melodies streaming through the mix. 'This Day Has Been Too' is another fine solo cut that explores insular and inward moods with great deftness.

Review: Paranoid London land on cult NYC label Nu Groove with a four-track 12" that pairs vocal-led acid with heads-down DJ tools. The London duo's rough analogue sound feels at home on a label that's long championed underground house, and opener 'Talk Dirty' is classic Paranoid London: squelchy 303s, jacking drums and Josh Caffe's sleazy, commanding vocal at the centre. 'Revolution' flips the mood slightly-an instrumental groove built around distorted drums and warehouse-tuned synth pressure, designed for deep-in-the-night moments. Rounding things out are an instrumental and acappella of 'Talk Dirty', making this as practical as it is potent.

Whispers Into The Void
Fleeting_637
Review: Another quietly stunning entry from one of Japanese dub techno's most enigmatic and revered producers. Known for his minimalist precision and deep atmospherics, Atobe crafts two tracks that expand his sound even further than before. The title track, 'Whispers Into The Void', opens with soft, floaty chords and gentle house rhythms. The tempo is restrained, the textures delicate, creating a sensation of drifting weightlessly through mist. It's a meditative, lower BPM piece with crisp production and a warmth that draws you in slowly. On the B-side, 'Fleeting_637' steps up the energy without abandoning the mood. With a more pronounced, bubbling bassline and submerged chords, it leans into classic dub techno territory. The track feels aquatic, its sonic elements swirling and shimmering as if recorded deep beneath the surface. Atobe doesn't chase trends, he sculpts sound patiently and with purpose. 'Whispers Into The Void' is another subtle, essential release in his powerful catalogue.

Review: Originally released in 1996, this track was instantly lauded by followers of the artist and underground techno vinyl diggers and even if - due to Mills' relentless music making and releasing schedule - it was somewhat overlooked at the time, it's one that fans kept going back to. Then in 1999 it was featured on his iconic techno mix at the Liquid Room and then again on his Exhibition mix DVD in 2004, earning its place alongside legendary tracks like 'The Bells', 'Step To Enchantment' and 'Gateway To Zen'. Verging on 30 years since first made, the track has now been remade and slapped on a picture disc, furthering its status in his discography, with a B-side of Jeff giving some commentary about the making and remaking of this killer techno anthem.

Review: An ever-present name in underground house, Alex Celler is back once again on Baby Ford's cult Trelik label. This is his third and maybe best outing yet with 'Twilight Firedancer' being a long and extended dub tech workout with wobbly bass and off-balance drums topped with glowing chords that bring occasional relief to the pressure of the groove. 'Mescaline' is much more busy with abstract pops and squeaks, synth modulations and an urgent, tightly programmed minimal tech groove that you would expect of this label. It's high-class music for mind and body.

Review: Following his ambient explorations in the White Line Sunrise series, this EP shows a more familiar, direct and machine-driven acid funk side to Roy of the Ravres' sound. 'Primavera Anjo' opens with hypnotic techno, while 'Planet Earth' dives into squelching acid, blending past and future in one fluid motion. On the flip, 'G-Force' takes you deeper with dreamy chords and swirling arpeggios, building a perfect vortex. 'Glass Knife' closes with cinematic breaks and a deep, rumbling bass, capturing a timeless vibe. Recorded 25 years ago, the complex rhythms reveal Roy's blend of classical and jazz influences, pushing his sound into new ground while still capturing that rare ability to make music that's both experimental and deeply emotional.

Keep Your Love

Review: It's been fashionable to bang it in the last few years, with plenty of erstwhile house jocks embracing snare rolls, syncopated synth lines and rushy breakdowns to enliven the punters. Straight from the source, it's fair to say 'Access' might have the bulk of them running for cover. Back in 1995, Rotterdam's DJ Misjah stood at the crest of a rave wave, forging a bold new sound that had an ocean of loved-up dancers in raptures for days on end. One of a long run of cuts released on Misjah's own X-Trax label alongside running mate DJ Tim, the pounding rhythms, snarling acid licks, and tension-building bass of 'Access' amount to something of a hard trance template. The track is presented alongside a cherry-picked selection from the label, all of which pump as hard as nails. 'Keep Your Love' is a highlight, with its brooding acid bass steadily building into a fist-pumping frenzy.

Review: Maverick UK producer Roy Of The Ravers is back with more seductive dancefloor material, blending melodic mastery with driving rhythms across the typically compelling White Line Sunrise III (Part 2). Sam Buckley never disappoints i whether or not he's using his cheeky Roy Of The Ravers moniker i regularly displaying a genuine gift for composing absorbing, off-kilter but emotive melodies. Opener 'Fenix Haus 6' wastes no time energising the dancers, with murky acid following deep bass over sparse machine drums. 'Exit Ren8' features the aforementioned blend of emotion and steel, with cascading synths harmonising over fizzing rhythms, as does the powerfully evocative, 80s-tinted excursion of 'Crista Theme'. Finally, the cinematic swells of the title track offer a hyper-immersive alternative to the main room, with stirring harmonics merging across a vast sonic landscape.

Review: Naff Recordings help further the tactile ambient movement in the urban corner of QC, Canada, this time presenting a singular ambient hardcore record from Melbourne duo OK EG (Lauren Squire, Matthew Wilson) and fellow producer Priori. These four 'Serpentine' variations hear four sonic squamata slither round a steady lattice of deeper beats, the emphasis fixed on a mood of sage solemnity. The record bills itself as "dub techno" but, in our estimation, would fit better for use as a choice set of downtimes, serving well as Wim Hof breathers in otherwise fast, clobberer DJ sets. No wonder the duo refer to themselves tunes as progenitors "feather-tech", a genre term we will almost certainly be stowing away in our minds for reuse in the future.

The former has been crafting deeply melodic and synth-laced house and techno soundscapes for some time and opens with 'Blues In Flight' which is all jacked-up beats and wispy, astral melodies and pads. Laak offers a more slinky and garage-infused sound on 'Apophis' and layers it up with twinkling modulations. Across four tracks, Sindh looks to merge minimalism with rhythmic invention, starting with the rugged 'Psi' with its thudding kicks and moody synths. 'Fluid' then brings more lithe, urgent rhythms with deft sound designs adding a futuristic edge and 'Interstate' then brings more raw texture and tension with heavy drones and paranoid spoken words that pan about the mix. 'Resin' shuts down with a nice tight blend of kicks and hits that is easy to latch onto and get lost in. Play it loud.

It dropped back in 2010 but has been reissued many times on different labels, this time on his own Upstaris Aslum. It's the very essence of stripped-back and functional house/techno but with an impossibly impactful machine soul, the drums, synth waves and percussion all looping infinitely. But within that endless repetition there is beauty, hypnosis, and catharsis to be found. Sheer class, before you even get into the shimmering, sublimely gliding remix from Luke Hess & Brian Kage and the sparser 'Cosmic Reality', all stop/start funkiness rooted down by massive electronic handclaps.

The Challenger Deep operating base is still mysterious to us, and for all we know - and for all we hear - we could easily believe their HQ/packing house could be an underwater station on the abyssal plane. 'Waves' clambers ashore, after a well-rested gangplank walk, to find deeper ricochets and molluscan shapes in the clouds.

The title track, 'Black Elements', opens with a lingering melody that drifts over sharp, punchy beats. The production is immaculate, allowing each element to shine while maintaining an atmospheric depth. On Side-2, 'KAH' taps into classic electro-funk, nodding to Kraftwerk with its analogue warmth and robotic charm. The track's playful basslines and crisp percussion create an infectious groove that feels both nostalgic and fresh. Rounding out the EP is 'Motor', a dynamic blend of crunchy acid lines and robotic funk. It captures a futuristic yet retro electro vibe, balancing gritty textures with sleek, forward-thinking rhythms. Overall, Black Elements is a stellar showcase of Max Watts' ability to honour Detroit's rich electronic heritage while pushing the genre forward. Review: Rome-based duo Donato Dozzy and Sabla reunite for a second collaborative outing-this time rooted in percussive density and minimalist form. Where 2023's Flusso cycle dealt in flow and abstraction, this follow-up sharpens its focus around rhythm and material presence. On 'Forma I', the pair strip things right back: sub-bass, skeletal drum hits, and little else. It's lean, physical, and cavernous. 'Forma II' expands that palette slightly, weaving splinters of syncopation into a staggered, off-grid structure. 'Forma III' takes a more organic path-metallic textures dissolve through reverb as if in search of their own shape. By the time 'Forma IV' rolls around, there's a sense of emergence-fluttering percussion, precise snares and forward motion suggesting rebirth from the cocoon. As ever, this is club music reimagined as architecture: subtle, studied and deeply physical.

Review: Detroit alum Max Watts teams up with fellow Tampa arriviste Keeno18 for a contemporary slice of noir dance legitness. Taking a premixture of dub and minimal techno as their starting point, both artists prove unafraid of gobby sound. Watts' 'Dusk' makes good use of tuned-up doumbek and Keeno's 'Undying Prophecy' alloys his rainsoak-synths with a run-your-mouth yawp line; a lead that emulates humanoid vowel sounds, with the cheekiest of intents.

Review: Wade Watts and Sir Rizio step up with this standout new EP, their debut for the label after a warmly received appearance on the always interesting Greyscale. They hail from the suburbs of Jo'burg which is where they have cooked up these seriously flavoursome and stripped-back sounds. 'Atlas' kicks off with rolling drums and widescreen dub chords that sink you into a warm world of fluid groove. 'Limitless Progression' keeps the depths coming with rattling and classic dub hits and smoky pads, while an EmmaSoul dub mix on the flip heads into heady territory and 'Innermost Existence' brings some wisps of melodic light to the fore.

Surkit - "Ben Long & Oliver Way Remix" (Surkit feat. Jon)
Review: For those well-versed in Detroit techno's underground lineage, the name behind 'Surkit' needs no introduction. Originally released in 1991, 'Surkit' became synonymous with the concept of the Detroit techno masterpiece, UK bleep and Detroit futurism meeting in perfect harmony and a few years later LTJ Buken took the hook and made the d&b classic 'Atlantis', furthering the reach of this epic gem. This new EP includes the 1990 first edition and gives listeners a chance to hear the raw genesis, complete with its unforgettable synth melody and chugging bassline. The Keith Tucker vs Strand 'Circuitry Mix' updates the original with a more futuristic slant while the 'Diode Reprise Mix' gives the central melody space to shine. Side-B turns the spotlight to inventive reinterpretation, with Calibre's remix the leftfield standout: a broken-step techno excursion that feels edgy and dynamic. Then Ben Long & Oliver Way's take (featuring Jon) explodes into a breakbeat and rave odyssey, pumping up the rhythm while keeping the dreamy synth spirit intact. It's euphoric, expansive and perfectly engineered to take over a dancefloor. This EP honours the roots of Detroit techno and the various directions the remixers pull it helps this classic have ever more legs than before.

Review: Pinch's Bristol-based Tectonic stable marks a new chapter with Tectonic Sound, a six-part, 24-track vinyl series, discomancing an unknowable but part steerable future while also leaning on firmly implanted roots. Each 12" pairs longtime affiliates like Peverelist, RSD, Kahn & Neek and Om Unit with a sharp cast of first-timers, among them Flora Yin-Wong, Re:ni, Sicaria, Yushh and Beatrice M. What emerges is a restless sweep through low-end electronics that flirt with dub, techno, soundsystem pressure and textural detail, in a set shaped by the label's lineage but unbound by nostalgia. Most tracks were written specifically with Tectonic in mind, adding a sense of cohesion to a compilation that prizes forward motion and liminal spaces.

Review: This new joint EP from Robert Hood and his Floorplan project with daughter Lyric showcases two distinct yet complementary visions of techno. Side-A is all about Floorplan's vibrant, gospel-infused house style. 'Eternal Life' bursts out of the gate with a joyful piano-led groove and an infectious energy that commands the dancefloor. The second mix strips things down into a dub-style version, dialing back the melody to let the rhythm section breathe. The track is groovier, more restrained, but still driving. Flip to Side-B and you're in classic Robert Hood territory. 'God Flow' is a streamlined, melodic burner that is direct and tightly wound. It builds with precision, its crisp rhythm and subtle synth work echoing Detroit's minimal legacy. 'The Throne' follows with a nod to Hood's Underground Resistance roots. It's raw and punishing in the best way: stripped-down techno that relies on timing and repetition. Together, the EP is a great look into both projects and their direction.

Review: Intense but cerebral techno troubadour O Phase heads up the Modaweks imprint to which he returns here a bumper double pack of levelled-up techno tools. The wispy synths which constantly seem to be tumbling down above the liner drums of 'Ghost Coder' make you feel as though you are falling into an abyss. 'Base-Chain' is what greets you upon arrival - muscular drum funk with hurried kicks and nebulous synth colours. Elsewhere 'Proof Of Real' is a shimmering deep techno transmission and 'You Are Not The Zeitgeist' brings uneasy and paranoia in its impish and restless synth stokes. 'Change Agent' is another bit of loop techno perfection across four sides of vinyl packed with the stuff.

Review: Bristol's Tectonic honcho Pinch is celebrating 20 years of the dubstep and bass music recordings outfit with a fresh 24-track compilation, which of course has been further split into four EPs and counting to optimise bassweight and tonearm response. Pinch is reminiscent and proud: "It feels like Tectonic has been a part of so many communities. There's something instinctive that binds all the releases - something that goes beyond words." This fourth comp-selects highlights the work of midcomers in the scene, such as Kahn, Neek, Gemmy and Neffa-T, predominantly courting the 140s but indulging some experiments, with 'Motion Light' creaking through strange midnight bazaar SFX, and 'This Is This Isn't' going buckwild on hard-clip kicks and rib-tickling rims.

Review: There's a fresh perspective pulsing through this four-tracker from the Paris-born, Seoul-based producer. While the blueprint is techno, the spirit leans into trance and psychedelia in a way that feels totally natural and confidently restrained, not revivalist or retro for the sake of it, a reimagining of where the genre can stretch to.. 'Cloning Procedures' opens with a steady, driving pulse. There's drama in the air but it never turns into theater. Sci-fi tension builds with vocal samples that feel pulled from lost films and the trance elements slip in like vapour. Nothing feels forced, just perfectly placed. 'E-Tribes' leans into a tribal swing, blending dubby trance with slick rhythmic phrasing. The low end glides, the percussion dances and the whole thing rides a beautifully hypnotic wave. Flip the record and 'Mad Caps' continues the trip. It's deep, rhythmically alive and rides a psychedelic edge without tipping into chaos. That deep bassline anchors everything. Closer 'Datura' dives further into shadowy territory, murky and submerged, the kind of thing that sneaks up on a dancefloor. Everything here sounds tuned in and future-minded, while still grounded in solid techno architecture. A release that hints at a bright path forward. With only his second release, Krijka is a name to watch out for.

Review: Two decades in, the Bristol-born institution still sounds like the future. This wide-ranging compilation gathers new blood and familiar faces into a deep, weighty journey across techno, dubstep and adjacent frequencies, dialling in a vision that feels both forward-looking and steeped in sound system tradition. Standouts include Re:ni's tightrope-tensioned roller, Sicaria's deconstructed club mutations and Beatrice M.'s finely sculpted rhythmic hypnosis-each debuting on the label. Elsewhere, Kahn & Neek return with militant low-end drive, while Om Unit and RSD summon familiar ghosts of the Tectonic back catalogue in newly sharpened form. What unites it all is a spirit of clarity and pressure, true to DJ Pinch's guiding ethos: heads down, eyes closed, bass-first. It's not so much a retrospective as it is a fresh statement of purpose-24 tracks across six plates designed to test systems and point toward what's next.

Review: Now two decades deep, dubstep proliferators Tectonic celebrate with The Tectonic Sound, a 24-track manifesto spread across six 12"s, seismically shuttering any competition on a continental scale. Founded in 2005 by Bristol system sojourner DJ Pinch, the label has long straddled dubstep, techno, and the outer reaches of dub and bass music. Now several new fissures are calved open by Re:ni, Yushh, Sicaria, Flora Yin-Wong and Beatrice M., all of whom appear astride foundation shakers RSD, Om Unit, Kahn & Neek, and Peverelist. Almost all were written specifically with Tectonic in mind, not just its sound but its sensibility, echoing the early Skreams, Digital Mystikzes and Jokers that defined a certain subjective experience of dance music, not once erasable.

Review: Dublin-born, now Manchester-based, Krystal Klear returns to Running Back with six club tools steeped in nostalgic shimmer and functional bite. Known for his arpeggiated anthems and deep-dive devotion to the dancefloor, this batch hits a familiar sweet spot-melodic, muscular, and tinged with longing. 'Pancake' sets the tone with glassy synths and driving drums, while 'Hammeroid' and 'Detol Samba' veer into tougher, trippier terrain with twitchy percussion and ravey chord stabs. The italo-flavoured 'Offenbach' glows with bittersweet pads, before 'Deathlagg' and 'Celtic Samba' close in more dramatic fashion-euphoric, strange and full of motion. These aren't reinventing the formula, but they don't need to. It's dance music for dancers: unpretentious, dialled-in, and built to last until the lights come on.

The great Bluetrain opens with 'Still Shifting', which is a typically smooth and sub-aquatic dub techno sound that's deep but dynamic and marbled with deft hi hats. Fletcher's 'Holy Ghost' is a gorgeously suspenseful dub soundscape, then on the flip Rai Scott gets a little more pronounced with his grooves on 'Inside The Mind Of A Nebula,' which is defined by a nagging sense of unease. Review: One half of the legendary Chemical Brothers makes a thunderous return to the dancefloor with 'We Are Nothing' and 'All Night', two tracks that recall the kinetic chaos and forward-pushing spirit that made his name nearly 30 years ago. Tom is known for his no nonsense use of unique sounds and bombastic beats and his first EP since 2013 is no excpetion to that rule. 'We Are Nothing' is a relentless, high-energy trip with no allegiance to genre. It's visceral, loud and gripping track that doesn't ask, but demands attention. 'All Night' takes a different path, launching into a breakbeat-driven frenzy that reminds us of his 90s output. There's an unpredictability to both tracks that's distinctly Rowlands: sharp turns, sudden explosions and the sense that anything can happen next. While his recent years have been devoted to soundtracks, this is a reminder that the dancefloor is still in his DNA.

'Patience' lays the groundwork with a restrained but propulsive low-end and delicately eccentric percussion, its groove bubbling through with clinical ease. 'Resurrection' digs deeper into tonal tension, swapping bounce for grit-spatial hi-hats and modulating dissonance forming a darker, tactile contrast. On the flip, 'Moments' carries the most emotional weight, stretching melodic motifs out like soft light across a floor, its restraint lending it real poignancy. Closing track 'Myths' folds swung percussion and vintage-leaning rhythm work into something looser and more house-inflected, subtly disrupting the rigidity of what's come before. It's smart, streamlined stuff-club music that wears its soul discreetly, but confidently.

Review: London-based Timothy J Fairplay has long dwelled in the murkier corners of dance music, his work shaped by EBM, industrial, electro and the long shadow of post-punk. A sometime collaborator with Andrew Weatherall and a fixture of the darker fringes, he returns here with a new four-tracker that leans into slow-motion propulsion and paranoid atmosphere. 'Home Visitor' opens with a creeping unease, its syncopated kick and glassy pads suggesting something between a horror OST and a strobelit basement. 'Melt The Chains' is denser, grubbier i all scorched textures and pummelling snares i while 'Runs Every 15 Minutes' stalks forward like clockwork, driven by squelching synths and faintly psychedelic drum programming. Belgian producer DC Salas closes the set with a remix that lifts the original out of the gloom and into something more fluid and cosmic, adding a taut groove while preserving its hallucinatory core. As with much of Fairplay's catalogue, this isn't club music in the conventional sense i it's nocturnal, suggestive and oddly transportive, like a lost radio transmission from the underworld.

Review: This Dutch producer delivers a compelling EP that firmly plants his flag in the fertile borderlands between techno and vintage trance. Nearly a decade into his career with almost 20 releases to his name, he's honed a style that merges clean, powerful production with nostalgic yet futuristic sonic motifs. This EP draws directly from Goa and psytrance, giving them a surgical techno polish that elevates rather than repackages. Opener 'Infinity Corridor' is exactly what it sounds like. A hypnotic and spacey voyage complete with acid squelches orbiting around a fun yet driving low-end. 'Speak' follows with a soundtrack sci-fi sound, evoking the feel of drifting through a synthetic galaxy. Side-B dives deeper into the psychedelic side: 'Chanting With The Forest Elves' has arpeggiated motifs and swirling atmospheres, while 'Pushing A Ball Underwater' closes the EP in hazy, liquid, and meditative way. If you are looking for strongly produced trance in 2025 with a techno groove than check this out.

W9
W10
W11 (feat Cold)
W12 (feat Exos)
Review: Waage is at the heart of the contemporary dub techno scene and makes another fine statement with this outing on Icelandic titan Exos's X/OZ Music. This is his fourth outing and it could be his best: 'W9' rolls with great depth and grainy dub textures that speak of a subterranean world. 'W10' is more dark and heavy like it's soundtracking a dirty factory after dark. 'W11 (feat Cold)' layers in some psychedelic swirls to frictionless beats that could roll for days and never get old. 'W12 (feat Exos)' is lighter and more airy with a playful bounce in the drums.

Tectonic Sound Part 3

2562 - "Overcome"
Yushh - "Ghost Of What"
Appleblim - "Ghost Coast"
Flora Yin Wong - "Virga"
Review: New post-dubstep drastics from Tectonic Recordings, whose thwacking broken beat and dark garage stylings serve as expert material for the label's next phase. Tectonic Sound now launches as a six-part, 24-track vinyl series, of which two records have now been released in unison: alongside a first featuring Beatrice M, Cocktail Party Effect and Om Unit, this second one features cyber-bruk artist 2562, keygen system player Yussh, Punch Drunk favourite Appleblim and the perennial but rare orchid, Flora Yin Wong. 'Overcome' through to 'Virga' span the distinctive styles of each, beginning things on a numerological, tricky shuffle, and ending on a tugging ambient FX party.

An Extension
Review: Mammo steps away from his usual web of aliases and imprints with General Patterns, a double vinyl LP compiled in the wake of the Amsterdam producer's ambient LP Landmarks, then under his birth name, Fabiano. It's a six-track collection, alternately quelling the pulse and barely keeping the beat abreast, tapping into the patient throb of dub techno without temptation to posture overmuch through its otherwise quite stirring sound design. Fans of his recent Puddlerunner material might recognise the grain: a low-lit surface hiss, muffled rhythm architecture, mineral random-LFO delays, as heard best on 'Traversing A Raincloud' or 'Migration'.

Acid Hirameki
Review: The next Planet Rhythm release comes straight from the label's mouth, not credited to any artist but instead the mysterious outfit comprising PR themselves. 'Hirameki' takes its namesake from the Japanese paint blot caricature phenomenon, but the mood is affectively unrelated to this otherwise quite innocent home crafts exercise: if likenable to anything resembling the art pastime so named, 'Hirameki' and 'Acid Hirameki' make sonic war orcs out of hard drum machininc foundations, and 'Catharsis' and 'Chernobyl' only barely lean more melodic. Planet Rhythm knock it out of the park again.

Alodrone
Review: Italian techno auteurs Luigi Tozzi and Antonio Ruscito join forces for a potent four-track session of mid-tempo, deep techno pressure, their first collaborative outing on the ever-reliable Dutch imprint ARTS. Across the EP, the pair navigate shadowy rhythmic terrain and immersive atmospheres with a tightly focused sense of control and restraint. Opener 'Heat' sets the pace with a slow-burning chug, propelled by shuffling percussion and lysergic acid filigree that weaves in and out of the mix like smoke. 'Cube' follows with colder, more ominous energyisquelching acid pulses that ride atop a cavernous low-end and ghosted vocal fragments, building a menacing tension. On the flip, 'Closer' dials down the intensity for a brooding, emotive drift, where glacial tempos and misty synth washes conjure a deep introspective mood. Closing cut 'Alodrone' opens in ambient mode, unfurling a widescreen drone before detonating into heavyweight kicks, primed to open your next set.
